Manjushree Mandala
Invoking Buddha of Wisdom
Manjushree Mandala depicts the Bodhisattva of Wisdom. At its heart lies Manjushree Syllable Mantra, radiating serene empathy that reaches all sentient beings. The mantra of Manjushree is Om Ah Ra Pa Tsa Na Dhih and chanting this enhances insight, learning, eloquence, and the ability to understand the profound Dharma.
By creating the Manjushree Mandala, the artist allows oneself and all others to become filled with loving- kindness and compassion. The artist lays the sacred geometry to place the central deity with its three dimensional palace, which is then surrounded by rings of lotus, vajra and flames. The diagram allows the artist or the practitioner the opportunity to travel from the samsaric world to the celestial space of the deity, to become one with the deity of the Mandala and cultivate its attributes.
Manjushri is the bodhisattva of wisdom, intelligence, and willpower. A beacon of transcendent knowledge, the Manjushree Mandala centers around the Bodhisattva of Wisdom, whose flaming sword cuts through the darkness of ignorance. Every layer of the mandala draws the viewer deeper into understanding, revealing the harmony between intuitive insight and analytical clarity. The design articulates Manjushree’s role in guiding seekers toward enlightened discernment and inner stillness.
